Most of the week is ranges, ovens and cooktops

Cooking equipment splits along the county’s one real line, which is distance from the water. Near the coast the marine layer leaves a film on cooktop spark electrodes and corrodes the ground path behind them, so one burner clicks without lighting while the rest of the range is perfect. Inland, the electronics bay of a dual-fuel range runs hotter, and the range behaves for an hour of cooking and then drops the oven or throws a code.

The cold side follows the same line. A built-in a mile from the ocean loses its condenser fins to salt air; the same model inland has clean fins and is asked to reject heat into a much warmer kitchen through late summer. Two identical units, two different first checks.
