That makes the diagnosis a measurement rather than an opinion: a probe in the center of the cavity, logged through a full preheat and a full bake, separates within one cycle the three faults that sound identical over the phone.
An oven that swings wide around its setpoint, one that holds rock steady at the wrong number, and one that never arrives at all are three different repairs. Steady at the wrong number is sensor drift or calibration. Wide swings are usually control or airflow, and on a dual-fuel range the convection fan and its baffle matter as much as the sensor does: a fan that has slowed, or a baffle put back crooked after a cleaning, browns one side of a sheet pan and leaves the other pale, and no amount of recalibration will fix that. Never arriving at temperature is ignition on the gas side, or an element and its relay on the electric side.

The visit, step by step
Nothing here is unusual — it is simply what a proper diagnosis on built-in equipment looks like, and it is worth knowing so you can tell the difference.
- Symptom first. What it is doing, when it started, and whether anything changed in the kitchen — a new filter, a power cut, a door left ajar.
- Panels off. Grille, kick plate or rear cover, depending on the unit. Readings at the coil and the fan, water pressure at the inlet where the fault involves ice or water.
- Quote. One figure, parts and labor, agreed before work starts.
- Repair and re-test. The unit is brought back up and verified before the van leaves.

One burner clicks and will not light. Is that the igniter?
