Brands we service in San Diego
Refrigeration from one manufacturer, cooking from a second and a dishwasher from a third, all fitted into the same run of cabinetry and all serviced in place.
The mix shifts across the county, and it is usually legible from the driveway. Coastal remodels in La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado and Carlsbad lean toward panel-ready columns: a refrigerator column beside a freezer column, a wine cabinet in the bar and an undercounter drawer unit in the island, with Wolf or Thermador doing the cooking behind a matching front. Inland kitchens in Rancho Bernardo, Poway and Escondido more often keep one over-and-under built-in refrigerator and put the money into a professional range, with the ice machine and the beverage unit added later. Both patterns end up multi-brand, and neither was ever meant to be dragged out of the cabinetry to be worked on.
Brand boundaries are worth getting straight, because they decide who ought to be holding the screwdriver. Wolf has never built refrigeration: if a kitchen reads as a Wolf kitchen, the cold side is a Sub-Zero and the dishwasher behind the matching panel is most likely a Cove. Viking builds both cooking equipment and refrigeration, and servicing the two is genuinely different work. Thermador spans cooking, refrigeration columns and Sapphire dishwashers and carries the most electronics of any line here. Miele, Bosch, KitchenAid and GE Monogram fill in around them in the same kitchens, and we work on those as well.
Sub-Zero
Built-in refrigeration, freezer columns, wine storage and undercounter units — the line we work on most.
Wolf
Dual-fuel and gas ranges, wall ovens and cooktops. Ignition, temperature drift and convection faults.
Viking
Professional ranges and built-in refrigeration. Glow-bar igniters and oven thermostats are the common wear points.
Thermador
Ranges, induction cooktops, wall ovens and refrigeration columns — the most electronics of the lines we service.

The induction cooktop kept dropping power partway through dinner once the kitchen heated up in the afternoon, so I figured it was done. He found the intake underneath choked with dust from our remodel. Also called ahead for the gate code, which nobody ever does.
